Catriona Matthew has seen the Solheim Cup from every angle. As a debutant in 1998 up to European captain who was leading Europe to back-to-back victories, on home soil at Gleneagles in 2019 and on American ground in Ohio in 2021. The first European captain in history to do it twice.
Now, with the Solheim Cup heading to Bernardus this September, Matthew returns - not with a captain's armband, but as someone who simply loves this competition too much to stay away. We asked her what makes this week unlike anything else in golf.

When and where is Solheim Cup 2026?
September 7-13. Bernardus, Netherlands. The 20th edition, and the first ever on Dutch soil.
Bernardus is named best course in the Netherlands three years straight. Designed by Kyle Phillips and opened 2018.
Who's captain?
Anna Nordqvist leads Europe. Angela Stanford leads the USA. Europe has home advantage and hasn't lost on European soil since 2015.
How is Abacus involved?
We are an Official Licensee of the Solheim Cup 2026. One of very few, and we made a collection for it - worthy of the most adrenaline-filled and joyful week in golf.
