How to Care For and Wash Your Rainwear

We design performance rainwear. Here's how you keep it.

All our waterproofs are PFC‑free - a conscious choice. That means the impregnation needs renewing from time to time. It's not complicated, but it matters and keeps the technology working.

01 - After the Round

Shake & Hang
Shake off excess water and hang it spread out to dry. Every time. Don't ball it up in your golf bag.
Spot Clean
Mud on the trouser cuffs? Wipe it off with a damp cloth. No need for a full wash.
Storage
Between rounds, hang it on a hanger. Not folded in a drawer, not stuffed in a bag. The fabric needs to breathe.

02 - Washing

Why It Matters
Dirt clogs the fabric's pores - inside and out. That kills breathability, and breathability is what keeps you comfortable on the course. Wash regularly. Wash correctly.
Detergent
Liquid detergent for functional garments. Never powder, it clogs the membrane.
Settings
30°C Low spin. Sportswear cycle if your machine has one. Make sure to wipe the detergent compartment clean before you start, softener residue destroys waterproofing.
No Fabric Softener
Ever. It coats the fabric and strips functionality. This is the single most common mistake.
Prep
Smooth the garment flat. Close all zips and velcro. Loosen drawstrings at neck and waist. Protects the fabric and ensures a thorough clean.

03 - Re‑impregnation

When
Water stops beading on the surface. The membrane still stops water from getting through, but without beading the outer fabric saturates. It gets heavy, cold, and breathability drops. You'll feel damp from the inside. That's the signal it's time for re-impregnation.
How
Wash first following the instructions above - because dirt sealed in reduces functionality. Leave the garment in the machine. Wipe the compartment clean. We recommend using a biodegradable wash-in textile waterproofing treatment. This restores the outer fabric’s water-repellent function, optimizing breathability - one of the most important features in rainwear for active sports like golf. Shake the bottle well, and dose according to instructions. Max three garments per cycle. Run a short wash, then dry immediately.

04 - Drying

Best Result
Tumble dryer or drying cabinet on low heat. Heat seals and reactivates the impregnation - it's part of the process. Low temperature only, to protect the garment's details.
No Dryer?
Air dry in the warmest indoor spot you have.

Why It Matters

PFC-Free
By choosing PFC‑free rainwear, you're making an active choice to keep fluorocarbons substances out of nature. That's important, since fluorocarbons don't break down. They accumulate in organisms like plants, animals, people.
